Applications are now being accepted for Pearl S. Buck International’s High School Global Leadership Program. The week-long session will take place on the grounds of the historic Pearl S. Buck Estate in Hilltown this summer, July 20-24, 2026 from 8:30 am-3:30 pm daily.

The Global Leadership Program, for high school students from grades 9 through 11, is designed to help teens and young adults become better students, college applicants, global citizens, and future leaders. Participants put their newly acquired skills to use working collaboratively on a service project of their choice, with proceeds donated toward Pearl S. Buck International’s mission and work.

Students will have the opportunity to virtually meet a student from another country; they will also have the opportunity to visit the Pearl S. Buck House Museum, engage in hands on learning, implement real life business tactics, and use a wide variety of technology and inter-personal skills. Many of our Global Leadership graduates go on to become Pearl S. Buck International volunteers and interns, lead independent fundraisers for Pearl S. Buck International’s humanitarian, cross-cultural, and educational work, and put their skills to use in college and toward future careers.

The application fee includes instruction by a PA state-certified teacher, supplies, daytime snacks for students, and a graduation event. A limited number of scholarships are available and will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. More information and the application can be found at https://pearlsbuck.org/intercultural-education/leadership/. Applications are due by June 1. For any questions about the program and for more information on scholarship availability, please contact us at 215-249-0100 or sfreise@pearlsbuck.org.

Pearl S. Buck International® provides opportunities to explore and appreciate other cultures, builds better lives for children around the globe and promotes the legacy of our founder by preserving and interpreting her National Historic Landmark Home.
