Crowds Flock to Pearl S. Buck Estate for Annual Lunar New Year Celebration
Scores of guests, including many families with young children, turned out Saturday, February 21, to usher in the Year of the Horse at the historic Pearl S. Buck Estate in Hilltown. Pearl S. Buck International’s annual Lunar New Year celebration was once again co-hosted with the Central Bucks Chinese-American Association. Visitors were treated to a range of traditional dance and musical performances, as well as crafts and activities such as Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, shadow puppets, face painting, and learning how to use chopsticks. Guests also enjoyed a Chinese fashion show, food and coffee vendors, complimentary tours of the Pearl S. Buck House National Historic Landmark museum, and Chinese zither and tea ceremony demonstrations. It was a fun and educational afternoon for all!
