Cultural Competency Conference to Be Offered Nov.1-2

This November, Pearl S. Buck International will build on its humanitarian, cross-cultural, and educational work and mission by offering Empowering Equity, a regional cultural competency conference. Over the course of two days, participants will learn how their business, organization, or non-profit can engage more thoughtfully and effectively with staff, clients, and the community in an increasingly global and intercultural society. The United States is in the midst of a demographic shift in the workplace. With a more diverse workforce and customer-base, intercultural competency and comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion programs are essential. These will ensure the success and effective management of organizations and businesses, and they uplift communities.

This regional conference is designed to create a safe space for discussing the tenets of diversity, equity, and inclusion. At this event, presenters will highlight industry best practices, and specialized workshops will detail the application of these for law enforcement, human resources, and health care professionals. Day One is a full day schedule; Day Two will feature three half-day workshops participants can choose from. Empowering Equity will take place Tuesday, November 1 and Wednesday, November 2 on the grounds of Pearl S. Buck International, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie PA 18944.
