You can make a difference! Join us for one of our monthly volunteer orientations at Pearl S. Buck International. We currently have a range of volunteer opportunities that offer many ways for you to make a difference in your local community. Register for Volunteer Orientation to learn how you can join a special group of men and women volunteers who advance the humanitarian, cross-cultural, and educational mission and impact of Pearl S. Buck International.
The Volunteer Orientation Session includes learning more about the mission of our organization, touring the National Historic Landmark property, and discovering how you can share your special talents with a nonprofit organization that has an inspiring six decade-long legacy of bridging cultures and changing lives in your community and across the globe.
Volunteers at Pearl S. Buck International choose from tasks as varied as serving as a tour docent or facilitator for visitors to the National Historic Landmark Pearl S. Buck House museum, helping with the archival collection, working in the International Gift Shop, processing letters from sponsored children, or assisting with special events such as the annual Holiday Craft Show or Festival of Trees. Volunteers are also invited to bring their special talents to the organization. This has resulted in many wonderful projects such as a public quilt show, book discussion groups, a Pearl Buck play, a photographic book of the Pearl S. Buck House, speaking opportunities, and more. At this time, we are most in need of tour facilitators and docents as well as volunteers to assist with curatorial work, but if you discover a passion for our work and mission, we will find a place for you and would love to have you! 2024 is the 60th anniversary of Pearl S. Buck International so now is the perfect time to become a part of the Pearl S. Buck legacy.
