Pearl S. Buck Foundation Taiwan (PSBFT) continued to build on its momentum over the last year, serving new immigrant families through a wide range of programs. Core services remain strong while new initiatives have been introduced.

PSBFT expanded community outreach through haircutting events with St. Anne’s Home and the Do You a Flavor Association, where the “Rainbow Volunteer Haircut Team” continued growing into skilled volunteers serving disadvantaged communities.

Vocational empowerment courses supported employment and entrepreneurship, with baking and e-commerce training leading to certifications and job placements.

In partnership with FamilyMart and other organizations, PSBFT held workplace experience camps, launched a nationwide coin donation campaign across 4,300 stores, and created Taiwan’s first “New Immigrant-Friendly Convenience Store” model.

Service expansion remained a strategic priority. Last year, the Foundation opened a Kaohsiung Service Center to extend support to southern Taiwan. By September, 160 children had already enrolled in services, reflecting a strong early impact. The center continues to strengthen its network by connecting government, corporate, and community resources to support new immigrant families in need.

PSBFT further strengthened community engagement through cultural and sports programs, including football experiences for families, the Migrant Worker Cultural Festival, and Christmas gift and scholarship initiatives with the Taipei American School Interact Club.

Recognized nationally for its public service work, Pearl S. Buck Foundation Taiwan also received awards and showcased its impact at major social welfare events. It continued expanding its service network, including preparations for a Taitung Service Center to further support new immigrant families in eastern Taiwan.
