Lunar New Year Celebration at the Pearl S. Buck Estate Draws Hundreds

Hundreds of visitors, including many families with young children, turned out Saturday, February 8, to usher in the Year of the Snake at the historic Pearl S. Buck Estate in Hilltown. Pearl S. Buck International’s third annual Lunar New Year celebration was once again co-hosted with the Central Bucks Chinese-American Association.
Visitors were treated to a range of traditional dance and musical performances, as well as crafts and activities such as Chinese calligraphy, a shadow puppet show, face painting, learning how to use chopsticks, and Kahoot. Guests also enjoyed a Chinese fashion show, food trucks, vendors, complimentary tours of the Pearl S. Buck House National Historic Landmark museum, and Chinese yo-yo, zither, and tea ceremony demonstrations. It was a fun and educational afternoon for all!
