Pearl S. Buck International Adds Maureen McGuire as New Board Member

Pearl S. Buck International is pleased to announce that Maureen McGuire has joined its board of directors.

McGuire, a former lifelong resident of New Jersey, moved to Warrington, PA two years ago. Throughout her career, she served as a seasoned senior level development professional with nonprofits and higher education in New Jersey because she is passionate about helping these organizations advance their missions and meet their fundraising goals. Her experience as a fundraiser, strategist, marketing and management professional covered human services, the arts and education. 

In addition to her career in the nonprofit sector, McGuire worked as a Vice President of Global Organization Learning and Performance for Instinet Corporation and was a Senior Vice President/Director of Training and Marketing for the Instinet division of Lynch, Jones & Ryan. She served on the Securities Industry Association’s with the Securities & Exchange Commission in NYC.

McGuire is excited to bring her leadership skills to Pearl S. Buck International because she believes in the mission and feels strongly about fostering global relationships to help and support children, inspired by the adoption of her niece from South Korea through the Holt Agency and the writings of Pearl S. Buck.

McGuire holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science, a Certificate in Women’s Studies from Rutgers University, and a Master of Science in Management with a focus on organizational leadership from Thomas Edison State University.

As a nature and arts enthusiast, McGuire enjoys living in Bucks County with its access to nearby lakes and parks and the availability of so many cultural activities.
