Writing

The Pearl S. Buck Writing Center has announced dates and times for its Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 workshops and writing classes. In keeping with the literary legacy of Pulitzer and Nobel Prize-winning author, Pearl S. Buck, the Writing Center is organized by the Pearl S. Buck Volunteer Association. It offers writing classes, book discussion groups, and the Writers Critique Guild. The Writing Center has produced 17 books, including novels, autobiographies, short story collections, essays, poetry, memoirs, and children’s books that are now available in the Gift Shop, located at the historic Pearl S. Buck Estate in Hilltown, and online on Amazon. All Writing Center classes and workshops are online through Zoom.

This fall, the Writing Center will once again offer its Memoirs Writing Class. This six-session series, which includes a short lecture, time to practice writing, and gentle, constructive feedback, will be Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm beginning October 15. The Writers Guild and Pearl S. Buck Literary Discussion Group are finishing up their fall schedules, with Writers Guild the 3rd Sundays in September and October from 1-3 pm and the Literary Discussion Group wrapping up on October 14 from 10-11:30 am.

2026 Writing Center classes will begin in January, including the six-session Memoirs Writing Class on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm beginning January 14. For more information on the Pearl S.
