Field Trip Expo Offered Through the Month of August

20240808 080553

Pearl S. Buck International is hosting a field trip expo for educators through the month of August to share the new and exciting Pearl S. Buck House Museum field trip offerings for the 2024-25 school year. Open to all educators and administrators at the school and district levels, the expo is taking place at 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie, PA.

The expo is an opportunity for education leaders to learn more about Pearl S. Buck International’s field trip offerings by getting an inside look at what will be presented to their students. In addition to grade-level appropriate tours of the Pearl S. Buck House Museum, Pearl S. Buck International offers optional activities to enhance the students’ experience during their visit. The expo offers educators the opportunity to see hands-on activity demos, view supplemental materials, and meet the educator volunteers who run the field trips program.

Pearl S. Buck was a longtime advocate of cross-cultural understanding, which remains an underlying theme throughout the activities. Students can take part in learning about the history of Bucks County, a comparison of Eastern and Western cultures, Asian impact in the U.S., and much more. Through these lessons, Pearl Buck’s legacy of bridging cultures and changing lives through intercultural education lives on.

Interested educators can schedule an appointment to visit the expo by contacting sfriese@pearlsbuck.org.  For more information on field trips, go to https://pearlsbuck.org/intercultural-education/field-trips/.
