Pearl S. Buck International to Host Family Friendly Lunar New Year Celebration

Pearl S. Buck International, in collaboration with the Central Bucks Chinese-American Association (CBCAA), will be offering a family-friendly Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 10 from 12-3 pm at the Pearl S. Buck Historic Estate, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie, PA 18944. Come join us as we usher in the Year of the Dragon!

A slate of family activities, live entertainment, games, and food are scheduled around the grounds throughout the afternoon. Join us and enjoy:

·       Kahoot! interactive games

·       Chopsticks games

·       Learn Chinese calligraphy

·       Make a bookmark

·       Art of paper cutting

·       See traditional Chinese costumes

·       Dumpling tasting

·       Professional live dancing performances, including the Dragon Dance

·       Live music

·       Crafts such as making a fire-breathing dragon, a fan, or a hand drum

·       Tours of the Pearl S. Buck House National Historic Landmark

·       And so much more!

Have fun at this cross-cultural gathering while learning about who celebrates and how they celebrate Lunar New Year around the globe. This is a “pay what you wish” event. Proceeds from this event will benefit Pearl S. Buck International’s humanitarian, educational, and cross-cultural work locally and abroad, and the CBCAA’s scholarship fund.
